Kyler Murray?
I don’t like the idea and neither do many Las Vegas Raiders fans.
There have been reports that the Arizona Cardinals may part ways with the quarterback and the Raiders could be a fit as he has already been connected to the Raiders next year.
We recently asked our community members how they thought about that idea. It wasn’t close as about three quarters of the poll takers are not in favor of the notion.
I completely agree with the majority on this one.
Last offseason, of course, the Raiders
thought they ended the yearly turnstile at the most important position in sports when they traded a third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for Geno Smith. The plan was for Smith to remain the quarterback in Las Vegas, at least, through next season. But he has been a big disappointment.
So, there is a possibility the Raiders will move away from Smith, who would create $18.5 million in dead money if released. I understand that plan. But Murray? For who? For what?
Murray, who will be 29 to start the 2026 season, is surely talented, but he also has his limitations. He would likely not be a long-term answer for the Raiders and it would basically be continuing the parade of Jimmy Garoppolo, Gardner Minshew and Smith.
Don’t do it, Raiders and the fans agree.
