As of this publication, the Carolina Hurricanes still have the 31st overall pick in round one of the Draft. History would tell us though that the pick will be traded for future picks or included in a player deal.
On the recent podcast with Adam Gold and Ryan Henkel, both agreed that there was zero per cent chance the Canes would take a player at number 31.
Also, both were not
100% on board with trading for Connor Hellebuyck. “Goalies are fickle”.
If you are interested in checking out a few mock drafts, (as I am), I will include a couple of links.

There are a lot more out there. Check out the top of the Elite Prospects Hockey link.
Chances are if the Canes do draft someone there, it will be for someone off most people’s lists.
My guess? They trade down for two picks in the second. We will see.
I will be hanging out at Lenovo Headquarters with the Media and will be updating any new information I get in the open thread.
