Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Orioles fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The Orioles are 60-74 with 28 games left to play in the 2025 season. Unfortunately, they have not won a game since I put up a survey earlier this week asking fans to vote on how many wins the team will have by season’s end. That’s going to make it a bit tougher for the optimistic
outcomes to carry the day.
Here’s how you voted on the question:

People were neither expecting the Orioles to get radically better or radically worse. A 78+ win outcome would have involved the Orioles going 18-13 for the remainder of the season. At this point, they’d have to go 18-10. Forget about it. The 69 or fewer win outcome, when I posed the question on Tuesday, meant a 9-22 finish, or after they’ve lost three more games, 9-19. If they can’t win at least ten games between now and the end of the season, that’s going to be poor for fan morale going into the offseason.
As you can see above, a plurality that was just shy of being an outright majority came in with 74-77 wins. It is disappointing that the Orioles have not gotten even one more win over the last three games to make that a more likely outcome. After getting mopped by the Astros, the Orioles have to go at least .500 the rest of the way – 14-14 or better – to reach this range of wins.
The 70-73 group does feel a bit more likely after seeing the team lose four in a row to Boston. Somewhere in the range from 10-18 to 13-15 might even be an optimistic thought about where they’re headed if the collapse of the offense the last week or so has you wondering about 4-32 or 5-19 finishes. This year is no fun.
