What is the story about?
The
Tennessee Titans were on the field for their first official practice of training camp yesterday. The season is finally upon us. This is a new era of Titans’ football. I am cautiously optimistic about where this season is going to go. As a Titans fan, that is a pretty scary place to be.
Training camp starts with an acclimation period. That means they will be in shorts and helmets for the first few days. They won’t be in the pads for the first time until next week.
- Calvin Ridley was “limited” yesterday with an illness. If you have spent any length of times as a Titans fan, you know that wide receivers missing camp practices will always happen. An illness is better than an injury, I suppose.
- Mitchell Trubisky missed practice with some tightness. This will give Will Levis the opportunity to get some extra reps early in camp. Trubisky is unquestionably the backup. What happens with Levis will be one of the more interesting things around cutdown day.
- Jim Wyatt has his 10 observations from camp. One of the things he noted was how much of a “physical specimen” Femi Oladejo is. Oladejo missed most of the season last year due to injuries. Hopefully, this new staff will be able to develop him into a useful pass rusher.
- Paul Kuharsky has a breakdown of Cam Ward’s first day of camp. No free ads, but if you aren’t paying for PK’s site you should be.
