The New Orleans Saints recently added former Buffalo Bills guard David Edwards on a four-year, $61 million deal, but they don’t appear to be finished at the position.
New Orleans has been evaluating the upcoming guard class ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and Texas A&M guard Chase Bisontis could be an ideal fit for the interior of their offensive line, should he be available at the 42nd pick.
A Ramsey, NJ native, Bisontis spent all three seasons of his college career with the Aggies, earning Third-Team
All-SEC honors in 2025 and First-Team All-SEC recognition as a freshman in 2023. This past season, Bisontis allowed 12 total pressures and one sack across 441 pass-blocking snaps.
The 21-year-old recently participated in the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, measuring six-foot-five, 315 pounds with 31 3/4-inch arms and 9 3/4-inch hands. According to Next Gen Stats, his total score of 77 ranked fourth among participating guards, while his production score of 70 ranked 11th and his estimated athleticism score of 81 placed sixth at the position.
Bisontis is a physical and fundamentally sound interior lineman, pairing strong hands with sturdy lower-half power and controlled footwork to create consistent movement in the run game. His competitive edge and ability to stay engaged through contact make him an efficient in both zone concepts and downhill schemes. While his pass protection can be somewhat tentative, it’s still serviceable and could improve with NFL-level coaching.
If selected by New Orleans, he would likely start on the scout team as insurance behind Edwards and Cesar Ruiz, with a chance to develop and adjust to the speed and power of the NFL.
