After a three plus hour delay, Purdue found themselves on the field against a team from USC who meant business on the offensive side of the ball. The entire game USC ended up with just two possessions not resulting in points. One of those was a doinked field goal. That’s a very solid offense those guys have. However, Purdue still was in a position to win this game if they simply had taken care of the football. Ryan and I get into this one on the latest episode of the Boiler Alert podcast.
But first!
Let’s talk about the AP Top 25 and the fact that somehow Notre Dame, who is 0-2, is ranked. This is the first time in 37 years that a team that was 0-2 is ranked in the Top 25. Imagine instead of Notre Dame this was Purdue. Would they be ranked? They would not. Now, sure, strength of schedule is an issue but come on. It’s ridiculous and you know it.
