Well, we got some major clarity late last night, and it’s not the kind that’s gonna make most fans happy, as Kyle Tucker is a Dodger. Los Angeles, coming off back-to-back championships, has added the most sought-after player on the market once again. The rich get richer, in every sense; the best team in baseball just got better, and all the owners that stood idly by (Hal Steinbrenner seemingly included!) and watched can enjoy the compound interest on the money they saved. From the Yankees perspective,
we’ll have to hope now that the Mets and Blue Jays, who struck out on Tucker, are not more motivated to try and swipe Cody Bellinger from the Bronx. On the site today, you can check out Jeremy’s profile of Jack McDowell, as well as Josh’s look at the Yankees’ signing of the Gary Sheffield nearly a quarter-century ago.
Questions/Prompts:
1. Which of Kyle Tucker’s rumored primary suitors (the Mets, Dodgers, and Blue Jays) did you most want to see him land with?
2. How many plate appearances will Jasson Domínguez record in 2026?
