Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati has been quizzed on who she thinks deserves to win the men’s Ballon d’Or and has come up with three names.
Aitana has won the Ballon d’Or Féminin three times in her career so far and knows all about what it takes to be the best player in the world.
Following the conclusion of World Cup 2026, Aitana says she can think of three players in particular who could be handed the prestigious Golden Ball trophy.
“I would give it to Rodri for example, to Messi, why not, partly because
of what he has shown at 39 years old in the World Cup, if I have to choose someone, Rodri or Cubarsí, because Canavaro also won a World Cup playing as a centre-back and Cubarsí has had a great World Cup to deserve it,” she told Mundo Deportivo.
The oddsmakers currently have Bayern striker Harry Kane as the slight favorite to win the Ballon d’Or ahead of Lamine Yamal, Rodri, Kylian Mbappe and Messi.
