Another week of the NFL season is in the books. Here’s how former Arizona Wildcats fared around the league in Week 5.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders
Croskey-Merritt had his best game of the young season, running for 82 yards and a touchdown in the Commanders’ tie with the New York Giants.
Croskey-Merritt broke loose for a 33-yard touchdown on Washington’s first drive of the game. He averaged 7.5 yards per carry on the day.
Tyler Loop, K, Baltimore Ravens
In a Sunday Night Football matchup that
featured two former Arizona kickers, Loop came out on top as Baltimore beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime.
Loop successfully connected on all three field goal attempts, including a long of 51 yards.
Nick Folk, K, Atlanta Falcons
Like Loop, Folk had a perfect night, going three for three with a long of 48 yards. Folk now has 440 career field goals, which is one shy of Phil Dawson for ninth all time.
Jordan Morgan, OL, Green Bay Packers
Morgan and the Green Bay offense are starting to right the ship, as the Packers took down the Chicago Bears with a 31-7 home victory. Morgan played all 62 offensive snaps at left tackle. He earned a 51.0 grade according to Pro Football Focus.
Jacob Cowing, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Cowing had one reception for nine yards in the 49ers’ 32-29 win over Seattle. Cowing appeared in 26 offensive snaps, his most so far this season. He also played four special teams snaps.
Treydan Stukes, S, Las Vegas Raiders
Stukes got picked on all day Sunday in the Raiders’ 45-17 loss to the New England Patriots in Foxborough. Stukes struggled in man to man protection, giving up several completions.
He scored a 54.1 grade on PFF, which was about part for the course for a shaky Raiders defense.
Jonah Savaiinaea, OL, Miami Dolphins
Savaiinaea continued to struggle in his role at right guard for the Dolphins. Before leaving the game with an ankle injury, he played 18 snaps and was generally ineffective.
Miami dropped to 0-5 with a 31-24 loss to the Bengals.
Genesis Smith, S, Los Angeles Chargers
Smith showed some rookie growing pains in the Chargers’ 23-17 loss to the Broncos. He earned a 35.5 grade per PFF, which was the lowest of any Chargers defensive player.
Roy Lopez, DT, Arizona Cardinals
Lopez had sick tackles including a sack in the Cardinals’ 45-21 loss to the Detroit Lions. Lopez had one of the highest pash rushing grades (72.2) on a Cardinals defense that is in need of some improvement.
