Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs lost to the Toledo Mud Hens (Tigers), 5-1 in a game that ended in rain in the seventh inning.
Connor Noland started and took the loss after he gave up five runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings. Two of those hits were solo home runs. Noland walked four and struck out three.
Eli Morgan threw a scoreless inning in a rehab assignment. Morgan allowed one single to Trei Cruz, but he was thrown out trying to steal. Morgan did not walk or strike anyone out as he faced the miniumum.
Third baseman
Chase Strumpf hit a solo home run in the second inning, his 12th on the year. Strumpf went 1 for 3.
First baseman Jonathon Long was 1 for 2 with a walk.
Miguel Amaya was the DH in a rehab stint and went 0 for 3.
