Bayern Munich’s Pernille Harder scored her 50th goal in the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday in Bayern’s 3-0 win against Benfica in Portugal. She is just the third player in history to hit this coveted mark since the competition started in 2010. She sits only behind Ada Hegerberg (69 goals) and Eugénie Le Sommer (50).
Harder has made 69 appearances in the Women’s Champions League since 2014 across four different teams, scoring at least one goal for each team in the competition. She played
for Linköpings FC (Sweden), Wolfsburg, Chelsea, and now Bayern since 2023.
Bayern sits in fourth place in the league phase of the Women’s Champions League with four points after two matches. Harder will have a chance to take sole possession of third place on October 28th when they host Real Madrid at their new home, Uhlsport Park in Unterhaching. They will also look to continue their perfect start in league play this Saturday away to Eintracht Frankfurt.
