The next Flying Knueppel, Kager, is going to commit to a college relatively soon, and Duke is definitely interested, and Jon Scheyer has offered.
Generally listed at 6-7 but also as high as 6-10, like his brother Kon, Kager has a great stroke from outside.
Duke, of course, is not the only school interested. Wisconsin is sniffing around, naturally (the Knueppels are from Milwaukee), and Kager’s uncle, Tod Kowalczyk, coaches Toledo.
There’s a long way to go for the next Knueppel, and there’s no guarantee
that he’ll follow Kon to Duke, but it’d be cool if he did. We saw the Plumlee brothers, the Jones brothers, and last season, the Boozer brothers. Having more Knueppels would be great.
