As if the target on Bayern Munich’s back could not get any bigger, Bayern is the lone remaining undefeated team in Europe and that will be challenged every match until the Rekordmeister finally has an off day. Due to a variety of absences on the roster, interim manager Aaron Danks will have to be creative with his lineup and energizing the players to outclass a second-division opponent.
FC Magdeburg currently sits in fifth place of the 2. Bundesliga table and has shown an ability to rack up goals,
like the 6-1 beating they put on Karlsruhe over the weekend or the 4-0 victory over Bahlinger in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.

Prediction
Bayern wins 4-1. If Bayern had the full squad available, this could be a 10-0 demolition. With a survivor’s lineup of players who have not played much over the past couple months, Bayern will struggle with communication and spacing. Eventually, Bayern’s talent advantage will prove sufficient as Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry both score two goals. Bayern will concede another set piece goal in the second half as Magdeburg throws numbers forward but the match will never be in doubt.
