Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is dealing with a toe injury, which will likely sideline him for the team’s preseason opener against the New York Jets. It could also sideline him for several weeks, which could change how the team is operating on offense.
“I don’t know the status as of right now because I was on the other field, but I’ll check in with that as soon as I go in. I didn’t see it. They [haven’t] gotten it to me yet,” Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said.
With Egbuka out,
it opens the door for players like Jalen McMillan and Tez Johnson to earn a larger role within the offense alongside Chris Godwin as the team plays in the preseason opener against the Jets.
