According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jonas Urbig took part in the team training session today, which could mean he has been cleared to play against Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday:
Jonas Urbig has resumed team training today and is increasingly likely to be fit in time for Wednesday. Leonard Prescott and Jannis Bärtl took part in training as well – but as things stand, Bayern are hoping Urbig will be in goal against Atalanta.
Urbig, of
course, suffered a concussion in the previous match against Atalanta. Concussions have varying levels of severity, with some symptom disappearing in hours, while others can last for months. While not much information about Urbig’s condition has been disclosed, if he had a minor concussion, it would not be unheard of to make such a quick turnaround.
If he can play (and play safely), it would be a big win for Bayern Munich and Urbig alike.
