The Los Angeles Rams made waves on Thursday by announcing changes to their uniforms and logos. The team is not done rolling out new uniforms this year. Buried in their video outlining the changes was a nod to two new alternate jerseys that are expected this summer.
Here are the Rams’ current uniform options:
- Royal blue jerseys
- White “modern throwback” jerseys
- Midnight blue Rivalries alternate uniform
- Royal blue pants
- Sol yellow pants
- White pants
The white pants are brand new and just introduced on Thursday. Could they be a nod towards what is to come for one of the sets of alternates? For years fans
have clamored for uniforms that pay homage to the blue and white color scheme from the days of the Fearsome Foursome. The Rams now have the pants. They just need a white jersey with blue numbering and accents.
This is purely speculation and wishful thinking, but the Rams could also pay respects to a not so distant era by adopting a yellow jersey reminiscent of the team’s “color rush jerseys” towards the end of the St. Louis days.
There are only three colors in LA’s refreshed color scheme: blue, yellow, and white. It’s not rocket science that they could stick to the script and follow suit in their new alternates. Experiments like the bone jerseys have failed to stick.
