As if the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense wasn’t enough of a concern, today Kelsey Conway reported that starting cornerback DJ Turner missed practice.
This after the third-year defensive back missed last week’s practice with an undisclosed injury as well.
Shortly after Conway broke the news, James Rapien uploaded a video of Turner out of uniform, kneeling on the sideline.
Turner was one of the bright spots for the defense this offseason and
looking like a CB1 at times, not only using his elite speed but also his active hands to frustrate receivers.
While he played in the preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Turner missed Monday’s game against the Washington Commanders.
We talked about the defense’s embarrassing performance in that matchup in the video below.

Hopefully, Turner’s injury is minor, and he’ll be ready for the opener against the Cleveland Browns on September 7.
