Evan Neal has a new employer, landing on the practice squad of the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday. Neal was one of two former Giants signed to the practice by the Raiders, with the other being Azeez Ojulari.
Neal, the No. 7 overall selection by the Giants in the 2022 NFL Draft, was let go by the Giants in the recent cutdown to the 53-man roster limit. He played in just 29 games with 27 starts for the Giants, and goes down as a massive draft bust.
The Giants moved him from right tackle to guard last
season, but he never played in a regular-season game at that position.
Ojulari, an edge defender, was a second-round pick by then-GM Dave Gettleman in 2021. He had 8.0 sacks as a rookie, but injuries marred his next three seasons with New York as he never played in more than 11 games.
Ojularie signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent last season, but appeared in just three games.
