For the Arizona Cardinals it started out so promising.
They ran 14 plays for 132 yards and two touchdowns to get out to a 14-3 lead.
Then it seemed like nothing went right or their way the rest of the day.
When you have a really questionable call on a defensive holding on a field goal, and then what seemed like an egregious non-call on a Jacoby Brissett pass attempt to Trey McBride, it is easy to say the referees were the reason for the loss, instead of looking at the issues.
However, the issues were
obvious.
The Cardinals offense after the first two drives had 93 yards from scrimmage before the final drive of the game.
The defense forced three turnovers and still gave up 30 points to a bad New York Giants offense.
And in the biggest moment of the game, Jacoby Brissett and Mike LaFleur both folded.
For the Arizona Cardinals, the 36-24 loss to the Giants was actually worse than the score.
They were inept on offense, defense and special teams today, and that is why they are now 1-3.
Trey McBride was once again a running back more than a receiver, with seven catches for 31 yards.
Jeremiyah Love and Tyler Allgeier combined for 22 carries for 105 yards.
And Michael Wilson had seven catches for 95 yards.
Yet, when your quarterback goes for 166 yards passing on 35 attempts and throws three interceptions it’s going to be very difficult to win games.
Onto the Detroit Lions.
