All Elite Wrestling returns to pay-per-view tonight (May 24) with Double or Nothing 2026. The show comes our way from Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

Fans in the USA can purchase it from PPV.com, HBO Max, Amazon, DAZN, and YouTube, or their cable or satellite provider. The show is also available on MyAEW for fans in Canada, the UK,
and international markets.
It’s time to finally see MJF’s ugly, bald head
MJF was on top of the world after retaining the AEW world championship against Kenny Omega last month at Dynasty. However, the champ was so busy having celebratory sex in the days that followed that he didn’t realize he was booked in a title match against Darby Allin on the very next episode of Dynamite. Darby used a low blow and several Coffin Drops to become the new champion and abruptly end MJF’s reign.
Allin has since had a fantastic car crash run with the gold, where he puts his body on the line in weekly title matches that have all delivered the types of thrills he lives for. This includes a very memorable bout against PAC on a golf course where Darby was dropped off a balcony crashing through four tables.
Darby was willing to give anyone a title shot, but not MJF. If MJF wanted a rematch, he had to put something on the line; Darby wanted to shave him bald. He says MJF is the most vain man alive, so it would serve as the ultimate humiliation for everyone to see his ugly, bald head that he’s been hiding for years with a hair transplant.
Several AEW wrestlers have joked about MJF’s hair transplant, but none have been able to get him to put it on the line in an actual match until now. That’s what we’re getting in tonight’s main event with Darby’s world title and MJF’s hair at stake in a Title vs. Hair match.
The stipulation is an excellent hook to watch Double or Nothing, especially considering how fun Darby’s title reign has been and that many fans want to see keep going. AEW even has Darby set up for a title defense against RUSH after Double or Nothing, to give fans more of a reason to think Darby will walk out of the PPV with the world title, while MJF leaves bald.
Allin’s body is worn down from being a fighting champion, and he even briefly passed out in a recent title defense while applying the Scorpion Death Lock. In other words, he is also in danger and taking a huge risk here by defending the belt against MJF at Double or Nothing. But that’s who Darby is, and he wouldn’t have it any other way as the AEW world champ.
Can Darby Allin keep this car crash title reign going for another 15 minutes and shave MJF’s head in the process? Tune into Double or Nothing to find out.
The rest of the card
These remaining 11 matches and segments are also currently advertised for tonight at Double or Nothing:
Chris Jericho, Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin), and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Young Bucks, Jack Perry) (c) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors), Don Callis Family (Andrade & Mark Davis), and The Demand (Ricochet & GOA) in Stadium Stampede
Stadium Stampede is always a wild spectacle, and it’s even more out of control this time as a 7 vs. 7 bout. Chris Jericho has yet to win a match since returning to AEW on April 1, mostly because he gets his ass beat by The Demand every week that he shows up. Now Jericho has plenty of allies who are Elite and specialize in Hurting People, which doesn’t bode well for The Dogs, the Don Callis Family, or bald Ricochet’s group.
FTR (c) vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage in an I Quit match for the AEW world tag team championship
Cope and Cage wanted to violently end FTR’s career last month at Dynasty in order to get revenge on Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler for giving Beth Copeland a spike piledriver last year. The babyfaces failed. In order to get a rematch at Double or Nothing, Cope and Cage agreed to never wrestle together as a team if they lose. It’s do-or-die with maximum stakes in New York City, where the only way to win is to force your opponent to say “I Quit.”
Thekla (c) vs. Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter for the AEW women’s world championship
Thekla thinks AEW is full of dumb bitches, and now she has three of them gunning for her world title in a 4-way match at Double or Nothing. They all happen to be former world champions. Statlander and Shida have been teaming up lately with the latter leaning heel, so it will be interesting to see what happens when they inevitably butt heads in this bout.
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Kyle O’Reilly for the AEW Continental championship with No Time Limit
Moxley just can’t figure out how to beat this guy, going back to last October. The Death Riders injured KOR in November to get him out their hair for a while, but now he’s back and took Mox to a time limit draw in their most recent match. That’s how Kyle earned this title match, where the clock has been thrown away. Can Moxley finally find a way to beat O’Reilly all by himself?
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International championship
Takeshita finally gets his rematch with fellow Callis Family member Okada, after The Rainmaker cheated to beat him way back at Worlds End. If Takeshita is on the verge of victory this time, will Don step in and sever ties with The Alpha by helping Okada?
Will Ospreay vs. Samoa Joe in the first round of the Men’s Owen Hart Tournament
Ospreay is widely expected to win this tournament and wrestle for the AEW world title at Wembley Stadium at All In. His toughest Owen match might just be this one, where Joe plans to turn Will’s dream into a nightmare. Samoa offered Ospreay a chance to join The Opps, but the Aerial Assassin instead decided he was better off training with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. As a result, Joe won’t show any mercy as he tries to make sure Ospreay leaves Double or Nothing with a broken neck.
Bandido vs. Swerve Strickland in the first round of the Men’s Owen Hart Tournament
Swerve was away for a while and claimed that AEW management was keeping him off TV. That same management booked him in this tournament where he can potentially headline All In in a world title match, which seems to undermine his theory. At any rate, Swerve attacked Bandido at ROH Supercard of Honor to add some heat to this match. The winner may end up running into Brody King in round two. Fuck ICE.
Mina Shirakawa vs. Athena in the first round of the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament
Willow Nightingale vs. Alex Windsor was originally supposed to be the lone women’s tournament match on this card, but Willow had to vacate her TBS title and get pulled from the tournament due to injury. Athena and Mina now have their first round match bumped up to the PPV, where Athena is the favorite to win due to her status as ROH’s Forever Champion.
Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia) vs. The Opps (HOOK, Anthony Bowens, Katsuyori Shibata) [pre-show]
Will Ospreay chose to train with the Death Riders instead of joining The Opps, so now the underlings in each group get to punch each other in the face in a trios match on the pre-show.
Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) (c) vs. Viva Van & Zayda Steel in an AEW women’s world tag team title five minute eliminator challenge [pre-show]
Bayne and Kross don’t think any team in the AEW women’s division can survive five full minutes in the ring with them to earn a future title match. One day there will be a team that proves them wrong, but it is unlikely to be here against two women who never win on AEW programming.
The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, Roderick Strong) & Boom & Doom (Big Boom AJ & QT Marshall) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Lee Moriarty, Anthony Ogogo, Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, Shawn Dean) [pre-show]
The Costco Guy is back in AEW for another match, because this is where the best wrestle. He and The Conglomeration need some low card heels to beat up, so STP gets to do that job on the pre-show.
What will you be looking for at Double or Nothing?
