You don’t often see a player from the state of Kentucky ranked as the No. 1 overall recruit in the country, but that is now a reality.
Class of 2028 5-star defensive lineman Kellen Hall, a Louisville native, is now the No. 1 overall player in the country, according to Rivals.
Hall stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 275 pounds while playing for Christian Academy of Louisville. ESPN (No. 3) and 247 Sports (No. 2) also rate him ranked near the top, making Hall a consensus top-three recruit.
Three recruiting insiders
have already predicted Hall to commit to Kentucky: Sam Spiegelman and Steve Wiltfong of On3/Rivals, along with Josh Edwards of CatsPause/247 Sports and Nick Roush of KSR.
Those predictions aren’t surprising, considering Hall visited Kentucky for its game against Alabama before returning to Lexington this past weekend. Hall canceled his scheduled visit to Ohio State to watch the Wildcats upset No. 10 LSU, 35-34, inside Kroger Field.
If Kentucky continues building momentum under head coach Will Stein, don’t be surprised if Hall is a Wildcat in the fall of 2028.
