It’s the first weekend of college football and you all are tuning in to watch the last place Orioles take on the San Francisco Giants at the end of August. Some of us just can’t quit this team. It’s okay fellow sickos, this is a safe space.
Today’s starter Trevor Rogers really is worth watching. Rogers (7-2, 1.40 ERA) may just be the best starting pitcher in baseball right now. The Giants will counter with a 26-year-old rookie. Carson Seymour has 10 relief appearances under his belt, but he’ll make
his first start this evening.
Seymour will face two of the Jacksons right out of the gate. Jeremiah Jackson will breakup lefties Jackson Holliday and Gunnar Henderson atop the lineup. Jeremiah Jackson will play third base.
Ryan Mountcastle will slot in as the DH with Coby Mayo taking first. Colton Cowser will play up the middle with Dylan Beavers and Daniel Johnson joining him in the grass. Samuel Basallo will bat eighth and catch Rogers.
