As Manchester United’s search for midfield reinforcements goes on, so too does the Premier League rumor mill.
The latest link for the Reds has been to Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos. The Brazilian is reportedly open to leaving Chelsea after his first full season featuring in the squad, but the Blues have a price tag in the region of £50m.
The Brazilian midfielder, 22, signed for the Blues in 2023 from Vasco da Gama in his native city, Rio de Janeiro. He was subsequently loaned back to his boyhood
club to complete the season, which was followed by loan moves to Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg.
Santos made his debut for Chelsea at the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 and featured in 43 games over the course of the 2026-25 season, including 27 Premier League appearances.
United has reportedly already agreed a transfer fee and contract with Atalanta and Brazil midfielder, Ederson, a deal that was delayed by the player’s participation in the ongoing World Cup. With Brazil eliminated by Norway on Sunday, the physical and final details are expected to be ironed out soon.
