Sunday is here, and once again NFL fans will get a quadruple-header thanks to the league scheduling an early game on the other side of the Atlantic. That game features the Denver Broncos and New York Jets
playing in London, but it’s the game that wraps up today’s schedule that will be the big one that football fans will want to tune in for.
Sunday Night Football finally gets a premier matchup this week after a couple of duds, as the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs will square off in prime time. The Chiefs have been a bit disappointing so far, getting off to a 2-3 start with three close losses, but they are still viewed as one of the Super Bowl favorites. In fact, they sit fifth overall in Super Bowl odds at FanDuel, getting +1100 at present.
Of course, the Lions are one of the other favorites, as their 4-1 start has them second in the NFL at +750. Only the Buffalo Bills have shorter odds than the Lions (at +500), and this should be an excellent matchup between these two teams.
That’s the big one, as there are few other games across the Sunday schedule that really move the needle. The best matchups on paper outside of that game are probably Seahawks-Jaguars in the early slate and 49ers-Buccaneers in the late afternoon — those two games are the only ones on the entire slate today that feature two teams with records above .500.
Here’s your schedule for today’s games, so tune in, join us in the comments, and enjoy!
