A big Flyweight fight is going down in “Sin City.”
Former two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight champion Brandon Moreno returns to action against top Japanese prospect Tatsuro Taira at UFC 323
on Sat., Dec. 7, 2025, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. MMA Junkie first reported the matchup.
The placement of this fight couldn’t be better, as the Flyweight title will be defended in the co-main event — and there’s a strong chance the winner of Moreno vs. Taira will get the next shot.

Moreno (23-8-2) has looked rejuvenated since dropping back-to-back split decisions to Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval. Late last year at UFC Edmonton (Nov. 2024), he dominated Amir Albazi over five rounds. Then, in the main event of UFC Mexico City earlier this year, Moreno defeated Steve Erceg via unanimous decision.
Moreno always seems to be one win away from reclaiming his title — and that may very well be the case again, especially if he delivers another eye-opening performance in Las Vegas.

Taira (17-1) was closing in on a Flyweight title opportunity before suffering a split-decision loss to Royval last year (watch highlights). However, the 25-year-old rebounded in style, dismantling and submitting Hyun Sung Park earlier this year at UFC Vegas 108.
Currently sitting at No. 5 in the rankings, Taira could punch his ticket to a title shot with a win over Moreno — particularly with champion Pantoja running low on fresh challengers.
