Sorry for the picture, Washington Mystics fans. But the image feed didn’t show Kiki Iriafen in the USA Basketball women’s national team’s 101-46 win over New Zealand earlier today in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Iriafen scored 9 points in 18 minutes where the USA led nearly the entire way. It included a 21-0 run by the Americans. Rhyne Howard led the Americans with 18 points.
For the Tall Ferns (that’s the Kiwis’ nickname), Sharne Robati scored 11.
The Americans’ last game in the qualifiers is against Spain
on Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET. Watch it on TruTV. Keep in mind that Team USA must play in these qualifiers even though they already qualified for the World Cup by winning the 2025 Women’s AmeriCup.
