How Acquired
Justin was acquired in 12th round of the 2022 MLB draft (365th overall).
What Were Expectations?
There were few expectations for Justin as he has mainly been considered organizational depth prospect with a nice strikeout and walk rate.
2025 Results It was more of the same in 2025 for Justin, who found a home in right field. At age 25, Justin is still in High-A, however he put together another solid low strikeout rate (16.9%), decent walk rate season (6.2%). He put together a 107 wRC+ season hitting
.252/.328/.329.
What Went Right?
It was another solid season for Justin – getting on base at a decent clip, and playing in 91 games.
What Went Wrong?
The lack of power is a real flag for Justin who seems to have settled in at right field. He continues to see his ISO drop, putting together the second lowest of his career (.077). He hit just three homers, while seeing his walk rate also dip to the second lowest of his career. His ground ball rate also jumped back up to 51% and with his non-premium speed makes getting on base even more difficult.
2026 Outlook
Justin will be 25 most of the 2026 season. The Braves will likely start him at Double-A Columbus where it can be expected that his power numbers will dip a bit more. It’s a critical season for Justin who wants to prove he’s more than just organizational depth, so being able to hit the ball for more power is imperative.
