After yesterday’s wild 12-10 loss to the White Sox in which they used eleven (!) pitchers, the Mariners jaunt over to Surprise to take on the Royals, and Bryan Woo will make his first start of the Cactus League.
Other than Rob Refsnyder getting his first look in the outfield of the spring and Cole Young starting at the keystone, we have a decidedly Spring Training lineup on our hands, but it’s hard to complain too much when Seattle’s arguable ace is on the mound. As for the Royals, each player in their
starting lineup with the exception of catcher Luca Tresh should be reasonably expected to get run in the bigs in 2026.
First pitch is at 12:05pm Pacific time (1:05 Mountain time, at least until March 8th), but alas, you’ll have to wait to see Woo in action with your own two eyes, as today’s game is exclusively on 710 AM Seattle Sports. Over the airwaves, the broadcast will be delayed to 7:05pm, but you can listen to Rick Rizzs and Gary Hill Jr. live through the Seattle Sports or MLB app.
As a reminder, we’re hoping to build our community before Opening Day for what promises to be an exciting 2026 season and we’d love to have you with us. If you haven’t yet, sign up (it makes the site function much better for you, as a bonus) and jump on in to the conversation! This is especially helpful on radio-only games to keep the conversation flowing. And don’t worry about making a mistake – it’s spring training for all of us.
