Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from injury and could be back earlier than expected for Hansi Flick’s side.
Lewandowski has been sidelined since the
international break with a thigh injury and was initially expected to miss at least a month of action.
However, a new report has suggested he’s doing extremely well and may be back in contention for selection quite soon.
Reporter Adrià Albets posted on X: “Lewandowski is recovering very well from his injury, yesterday the Barça doctors were impressed seeing how quickly he has recovered. They even considered the option that he travel to Madrid, but yesterday it seemed risky, he hasn’t done any training yet.”
Barcelona’s injury problems are starting to slowly ease. Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal are already back, while it’s hoped Raphinha can be passed fit in time for Sunday’s Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.
