Cesc Fàbregas told his team, already leading 4-0 at half-time to take it easy. They would score five more.
How much would have they scored if they kept actually trying?!
(On a sidenote, I started watching the video embedded below, and it was “auto-dubbed” into English, depriving me of the original Spanish commentary. Took me a second to figure out how to switch that nonsense off.)
Speaking of crazy games, West Ham, under new manager Scott Parker (Nuno sacked earlier this week), came from three goals
down in the second half to snatch a point away at Cardiff in the Championship.
Meanwhile, America’s Team, Wrexham beat the division-leaders, Middlesbrough, 2-0, for a much needed three points. G’wan the Deadpools!
But if you want comebacks, I’m not sure it gets any better than four goals in the final 160 seconds of regulation.
Winnipeg Jets were trailing the Montreal Canadiens, 4-0 as the clock ticket away in the third period. Everyone was just waiting for the final whistle, right?
Wrong.
The Jets would go on to win 5-4 in overtime.
