What is the story about?
First, I hope you are all enjoying Coming Home Newcastle ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
With the new look of our site being introduced at this time last year, you must have noted faster loading times, but perhaps not the newest (probably not so fresh a year later, but still) feature on the site in “The Feed.”
Let’s answer a few questions about what this section is and how it fits in our ecosystem.
- What can I write on “The Feed”? — Anything you want, from a quick rant on something going on with Newcastle, to longer commentaries and opinions, and even a poll!
- What did “The Feed” replace on Coming Home Newcastle and SB Nation? — The Feed effectively replaces two things: FanPosts and FanShots. Unlike other Vox Media sites, SB Nation has historically welcomed content from community members who aren’t front page writers, and we highly encourage you to participate with as much content as possible!
- Is “The Feed” effectively a message board? — Actually, the content you can write here in real time has no minimum comment length, so consider it more of a freeway to posting your own stories (or any sort of content) rather than a simple message board.
- Who can moderate content on “The Feed?” — Vox Media has community moderators who are paid full-time salaries for this. In addition, all staff members on the site can moderate.
- Can I begin topic posts on “The Feed?” — YES! I ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE IT! This is a section meant for our commenters and readers. Feel free to post whatever about Newcastle, whenever you want, seriously!
