Meet the Mets
At one point, the Mets trailed the Phillies 3-0, but then the offense erupted, scoring 13 runs in the fourth through eighth innings to cruise to a 13-3 victory. Luis Torrens provided the big blow with a three-run homer and matched his career high with five runs batted in, while the bullpen pitched five scoreless innings after Kodai Senga went four-plus and allowed three runs. There was a brief delay when the Phillies complained about a parabolic microphone in center that was distracting their hitters.
