The Pittsburgh Steelers surprised many when they announced that former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy would be the new man under the headset in Pittsburgh. McCarthy sat out
of coaching in 2025 after his contract with the Cowboys wasn’t extended, but he had success in Dallas, winning 12 games in each season from 2021-23.
Many are baffled and flat-out angry with the hire, including former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, who took to X to voice his frustrations.
“4-13 incoming,” Bell posted. “But hey, at least Mike Tomlin isn’t the coach of the Steelers anymore right?”
Bell played for Mike Tomlin from 2013-17, sitting out the 2018 season due to a contract dispute. He signed with the New York Jets in 2019.
