The Dodgers will open their 2025 postseason (eventually) under the lights at Dodger Stadium, with Game 1 of the wild card series scheduled for 6:08 p.m. PT and will be televised by ESPN.
Major League Baseball
on Sunday announced the start times and broadcast information for the first two days of the wild card round, which includes four best-of-three series on Tuesday, Wednesday, and (if necessary) Thursday across ESPN and ABC. Thursday broadcast information will be unveiled later Sunday, after the matchups are known.
By virtue of clinching their 12th National League West title in 13 years, the Dodgers are the No. 3 seed in the NL playoffs, and are hosting the No. 6 seed, which will be either the Reds or Mets. If Cincinnati wins Sunday, they are the No. 6 seed. The Mets need a win and for the Reds to lose on Sunday to make the postseason.
The Dodgers will have the latest wild card game for as long as their series lasts. That makes sense considering the other three series are at least two time zones away from Los Angeles in Chicago, Cleveland/Detroit, and New York/Toronto.
