It turns out the Little Rascals are mere mortals after all. That was made very apparent by this week. The Rangers are currently on a seven game losing streak and at the worst time.
The Rangers are out of playoffs (officially, if the Red Sox or Astros win on Tuesday but unofficially it’s official as there isn’t really a possibility the Rangers win all of their final six games).
It’s been 10 days since their last win and they are two wins away from a .500 season, three from a winning season. However,
as it stands right now, three wins sounds like a big ask.
There is some hope for them to win the series against Minnesota, their final homes series of the season. The Twins are abysmal on the road and Texas has winning record at home. So far this season the Rangers are 2-1 against Minnesota too, so odds seem to be in Texas’s favor… although they also seems to be in their favor against Miami too and we saw how that went.
They’ll end the season in Cleveland, whom they’re 3-0 against this season.
I’d like to think Texas has a chance of winning at least one more game, there’s a very slim chance they end the season on 13 game losing streak.
So what to hope for this upcoming and final week of the season? Realistically, two wins. Optimistically, three wins.
