Newcastle United’s search for attacking reinforcements keeps going without much solid news on that front and more speculation and rumors than anything else.
It’s now the turn of Sky Sport Switzerland’s Sacha Tavolieri, who is reporting that Newcastle and Aston Villa have held talks over signing Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa.
Not only that, but Tavolieri reported that the two clubs are “the most advanced in this transfer saga,” as well as adding that discussions between Feyenord and both sides are “already
well underway and could accelerate rapidly in the coming weeks.”
The 24-year-old Algeria international has reportedly attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ahli, which already makes me want to pause about how fitting a transfer for this young man is, but Tavolieri believes his preference is to move to England—shocking, isn’t it?
Tavolieri reported that Hadj Moussa has made a “clear choice” to prioritise the Premier League over Saudi Arabia.
Feyenoord are reportedly asking around £30 million to sell the winger this summer after Hadj Moussa joined the Dutch club in 2024 and scored 25 goals in 83 appearances for them.
