We did it, y’all. We made it to the end of the worst season in Colorado Rockies history. They are currently 43-117 with two games left. While they avoided the worst 162-game record in the Modern Era, they still have made a lot of other dubious history along the way.
A club-record 13 rookies made their MLB debuts, to mixed results. Bud Black was also fired after 40 games, which left the door open for a rookie interim manager in Warren Schaeffer to attempt to right the ship — also to mixed results. Up
next, Instructional League has begun and the Arizona Fall League starts in two weeks.
But now it’s time to look ahead to 2026, and there are a lot of questions that will hopefully be answered soon. And if they aren’t answered soon, we can at least look forward to the GM Meetings in November and the Winter Meetings in December. I expect the Rockies to be busy.
