A little less than two weeks stand between the Dallas Cowboys and the start of 2026 training camp. Dallas officially reports to Oxnard on July 28th, with the first training camp practice taking place on the 29th.
The Cowboys’ roster looks significantly different from what it did at this time last year, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. With that thought in mind, today we continue our series ranking the top 10 players on the Cowboys’ roster for the 2026 season.
1) CeeDee Lamb
Age: 27
Years Pro: 6
NFL Awards:
5x Pro Bow, 1x First-Team All-Pro (2023)
2025 Recap: CeeDee Lamb’s 2025 season did not get off to the best start. The now 27-year-old wideout dropped four passes in Dallas’ first two games of the regular season, including a critical drop that cost the Cowboys a potential win in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
While other receivers may have let this slow start turn into a down year, Lamb did the exact opposite. After those four drops in two games, Lamb went on to drop just four passes in the 12 games he would play in throughout the course of the regular season.
Despite playing in just 14 games, one of which he played only two offensive series, Lamb surpassed 1,000 receiving yards (1,077) for the fifth consecutive season, recording the 10th-most receiving yards in the NFL. The wideout also recorded 75 or more receiving yards in eight of the 14 games he played in, including going over 100 in a single game six times.
While George Pickens’ breakout year took a bit of the focus away from Lamb, the veteran still had another outstanding, Pro Bowl-caliber season. Some of the reasons for Pickens’ success are teams being aware of just how good Lamb is and can be. The threat of Lamb’s game-breaking ability helped set up Pickens for tons of success, and the two cemented themselves as the best wide receiver duo in football last season.
2026 Preview: At his best, CeeDee Lamb is without a doubt one of the top three to four receivers in all of football. When Lamb is playing at his highest level, he’s a force to be reckoned with, and so are the Cowboys. In his career, Dallas is an impressive 22-9 in games in which Lamb records 95 or more receiving yards. Furthermore, the Cowboys are 24-9 in games in which Lamb scores at least one receiving touchdown.
Despite the outside narrative, Lamb was extremely productive last season. Looking forward to this year, it’s reasonable to expect that, if healthy, the 27-year-old wideout will be able to replicate the production of his All-Pro 2023 campaign. As teams have now become aware of what George Pickens is capable of, Lamb is only going to get more opportunities, making Dallas’ offense even harder to slow down.
Lamb is poised to remind people who the true number one wide receiver in Dallas is this season, and it’s reasonable to expect him to contend to win the Offensive Player of the Year award.
Prediction: CeeDee Lamb records 1,650 receiving yards to go with 10 touchdowns and is named a First-Team All-Pro.
