As the Chicago Bears prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs this Saturday, the second official injury report of the week has been released.
The Bears had a walk-thru practice on Tuesday and a full practice on Wednesday. The team listed four players as DNP (did not practice) on Wednesday: DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson (concussion), DL Grady Jarrett (rest), LB Amen Ogbongbemiga (concussion), and DL Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (c0ncussion).
WR Jahdae Walker, who was listed
as DNP on Tuesday due to illness, was a full participant on Wednesday. DB Nick McCloud, who also was dealing with an illness, has been a full participant all week.
The Bears had five players listed as limited on Wednesday: DB Kyler Gordon (groin), DB Jaylon Jones (ankle), WR DJ Moore (knee), WR Rome Odunze (foot), and OL Ozzy Trapilo (quad).
There’s no major surprises on this injury report. Odunze and Gordon, in particular, are the players worth monitoring as the week goes on as their returns would be a big-time spark for both the Bears offense and defense, respectively.
The Green Bay Packers placed DB Bo Melton (knee) on the IR on Wednesday. They had six players listed as limited in practice Wednesday: DL Warren Brinson (foot), S Javon Bullard (knee), LB Nick Niemann (pectoral), OL Zach Tom (back/knee), WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion), and QB Malik Willis (right shoulder/hamstring).
LP Edgerrin Cooper (shoulder), WR Matthew Golden (achilles), and DL Lukas Van Ness (foot) were full participants on Wednesday.
The Bears take on the Packers this Saturday at Soldier Field in Chicago. The game takes place at 7:00 p.m. (Chicago time) and it will be broadcast nationally on Amazon Prime. It will also be broadcast locally on FOX32 in Chicago.
