Bayern Munich center-back Jonathan Tah has faced off with Atalanta before and knows that the style of play is going to make for a competitive, fun throwdown in the Champions League on March 10th.
“I’ve played against Atalanta before; they’re a good opponent, they play intense football. You could see that in their matches against Dortmund, what they’re capable of. I’m looking forward to the game. The home advantage in the second leg only plays a minor role for me – in the end, it’s about winning both
games and advancing. Even though it would have been special for me against Leverkusen, I think an Italian opponent is better in the Champions League than an all-German tie,” Tah said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Atalanta’s improbable comeback victory showed that the squad not only has talent and resilience, but also mettle. Bayern Munich will be determined to avoiding making the same mistakes that Borussia Dortmund did.
