Real Madrid 4-0 Valencia (Mbappé x2, Bellingham & Carreras). The wins keep on coming… Here is the reaction to the game. Other stuff: Player ratings, interviews and a podcast.
The Clásico was won, but Dani
Carvajal was lost as a result after picking up a knee injury. For the Valencia fixture, Trent Alexander-Arnold continued to be deemed unfit to start, as Fede Valverde slotted back into the full-back spot. Franco Mastantuono got another start in attack, alongside many of the big names permanently etched onto the team sheet. Fede Valverde captained Real Madrid.
There would be no awkward slip up’s for Real Madrid today, who scored three goals and missed a penalty – all in the first half. Kylian Mbappé would of course deal the first blow, from the spot after a handball. He then doubled the lead and his own tally after being supplied by Arda Güler yet again. Vinícius Júnior then missed a penalty before Jude Bellingham made it three from the edge of the area. Half-time, 3-0 to Real Madrid.
The second half would conjure up less excitement, but chances would still be made through Kylian Mbappé and Fede Valverde. It would be Álvaro Carreras who grabbed the fourth – finding the top right corner from a preposterous angle to secure a superb victory. 4-0 to Real Madrid at full-time, who continue to be on fire at the top of La Liga.
