And just like that, a quarter of the NFL season is behind us. Three unbeatens remain, all with warts but all continuing to win at the end of the day. The NFL continues to surprise us on a weekly basis, as it truly is an any-given-Sunday type of league.
You would have been called crazy if you told us the following in August:
- The Las Vegas Raiders’ resurgence with 38-year-old quarterback Kirk Cousins playing the best football of his life. The Raiders appear to be the second-best team in the AFC West.
- A Kansas City Chiefsrunning back in an Andy Reid offense leads the NFL in rushing and is on pace for well over 2,000 yards.
- The San Francisco 49ers appear to be the dream team, unlike their NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams.
- The Los Angeles Chargers are unwatchable, and if this continues, they could face major decisions in the 2027 offseason at quarterback.
- The Minnesota Vikings are undefeated, yet field one of the NFL’s most horrific offenses.
And that’s just a few examples. We love the NFL for its unpredictability, and it keeps delivering week after week.
How predictable or unpredictable was the Arrowhead Pride staff
this week? Read on to find out.
Biggest riser: Carolina Panthers +6
Biggest faller: Pittsburgh Steelers -6 (In our Week 4 Power Rankings, the Steelers were tied for the biggest riser)
This week, along with myself, staff voters were: Maurice Elston, Caleb James, Ron Kopp Jr., Rocky Magana, Jared Sapp, and Matt Stagner.
1. San Francisco 49ers (1st)
I want to see studies run on that electric substation. Another star, fullback Kyle Jusczyk will miss time with an injury. Yet this team keeps winning.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (3rd)
Tyquan Thornton, please take my ankle. I don’t need it.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (4th)
The London fans will not recognize their hometown Jaguars in the next two weeks. This is a complete football team.
4. Seattle Seahawks (5th)
How much regret is there for paying Rashid Shaheed over Kenneth Walker III?
5. Buffalo Bills (2nd)
I was once told that Josh Allen was the greatest decision-maker with the football in the NFL. After throwing a game-ending interception and losing at home to the hapless Patriots, I was again told that Josh Allen was the greatest decision-maker with the football in the NFL.
6. Baltimore Ravens (6th)
This team drops big time in the rankings if Lamar Jackson misses time with an injury.
7. Minnesota Vikings (9th)
Their offense is within the ranks of the powerhouses known as the Titans’ and Dolphins’ offenses in yards per game. Ugly, yet they remain undefeated.
8. Los Angeles Rams (10th)
The Rams are relying on Sean McVay pep talks to muster comebacks. The offseason champs have simply looked unimpressive to start the season.
9. Chicago Bears (11th)
The Bears have looked better with Caleb Williams on the sideline…
10. Cincinnati Bengals (7th)
Personally, I’m a major fan of the Bengals’ undying loyalty to head coaches.
11. Philadelphia Eagles (8th)
This team needs a hard reset.
12. Las Vegas Raiders (12th)
Andy Reid is now the winningest head coach at Allegiant Stadium Arrowhead West.
13. Denver Broncos (14th)
Denver can’t run the football, and Jaylen Waddle has been virtually non-existent in this offense. How long will Sean Payton sit idly by and let Davis Webb run this offense?
14. Dallas Cowboys (15th)
What I’d give for Patrick Mahomes to have a wide receiver weapon like CeeDee Lamb…
15. Detroit Lions (13th)
The championship window is gone.
16. New England Patriots (20th)
We’ll find out soon enough if this performance says more about Drake Maye or the Bills’ putrid defense.
17. New York Giants (19th)
The Jameis Winston experience is fully here.
18. Cleveland Browns (22nd)
This is exactly the type of underdog team Americans would love to get behind. Except for one major elephant in the room.
19. Indianapolis Colts (17th)
I wonder what Colts’ owner Carlie Irsary-Gordon is asking assistant coaches and sideline personnel during game action. She’s making Jerry Jones look hands-off.
20. Carolina Panthers (26th)
They’re building something special in Carolina. Bryce Young continues to prove the doubters wrong.
21. New Orleans Saints (18th)
Very anticlimactic performance in the Katrina anniversary game.
22. Pittsburgh Steelers (16th)
Watching the old married couple Rodgers and McCarthy curse and fight on primetime television is objectively hilarious.
23. Atlanta Falcons (25th)
I did not see this complete turnaround coming with the return of Michael Penix Jr.
24. Arizona Cardinals (21st)
I once again ask, what do the Cardinals want for Marvin Harrison Jr.? Get on the phone over the bye week, Mr. Veach.
25. Houston Texans (24th)
The Texans played a reverse card to start the season. CJ Stroud is playing well enough to win football games, but this defense looks lost. The Texans played a reverse card to start the season. CJ Stroud is playing well enough to win football games, but this defense looks lost.
26. Green Bay Packers (23rd)
An uninspiring performance with a three-point victory over a winless team, starting a rookie quarterback in their first start. Not sure anyone’s jobs were saved in this one.
27. Washington Commanders (27th)
I’d be very nervous to see Jaylen Daniels back on the field so soon if I were a Commanders fan. It’s just not possible for that elbow to be fully right.
28. New York Jets (29th)
Whoever takes over the Jets in 2027 could succeed right away. But 2026 is a lost cause.
29. Los Angeles Chargers (28th)
Sometimes opposites attract. But the pairing of Jim Harbaugh and Mike McDaniel just isn’t working.
30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (30th)
Is Todd Bowles about to coach his final game as a Buccaneer? The upcoming mini bye week could spell doom.
31. Miami Dolphins (31st)
The Dolphins keep fighting; I’ll give them that.
32. Tennessee Titans (32nd)
Robert Saleh may be the last man on earth who believes in Cam Ward as the Titans’ franchise quarterback.
