UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van packed on over 20 pounds between his weigh-in on Friday and facing Alexandre Pantoja in the UFC 331 main event on Saturday.
That’s according to the California State Athletic Commission, who released the fight night weights for all the athletes competing at UFC 331 this past Saturday night in Los Angeles.
Van hit the scale on Friday and weight 125 pounds on the dot for his championship fight but then gained 20.8 pounds to weigh 145.8 pounds for his actual fight on Saturday
night.
As for his opponent Alexandre Pantoja, he weighed 125 pounds exaxctly at the weigh-ins and then gained 15.2 pounds to weigh 140.2 for the fight.
In the co-main event, Arman Tsarukyan hit the scale on Friday at 156 pounds and he gained 21 pounds to weigh 177 pounds for his lightweight matchup against Mauricio Ruffy.
His Brazilian opponent weighed 155 pounds on Friday and then gained 23 pounds to weigh 178 pounds for the fight at UFC 331 on Saturday.
