Bayern Munich continued their impressive run of form thrashing, a dangerous, Eintracht Frankfurt side 3-0. The hosts posed little competition to Bayern who take extend their unbeaten run to ten games across the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League and Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
Bayern talisman and scorer of the day’s second goal, Harry Kane, was full of praise for his side. The English sharpshooter put particular emphasis on his side’s second half performance and believes Bayern could have had
more than three goals.
“Great performance. I thought first half we done well to be two goals up. In the second half we were better and could’ve scored a couple more,” said Europe’s golden boot leader (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We have momentum to our side right now and we need to hold on to that. Now we’re travelling to the national teams and then we have a massive game at home against Dortmund.”
In the form of their lives, the international break comes at an inconvenient time for “Die Rekordmeister’. International football is usually synonymous with injuries and complications — just take Alphonso Davies’ terrible anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury suffered in March while on international duty with Canada.
On the positive side, Bayern carry yet another impressive performance into the international break, the last of which did not slow down their momentum in the slightest. Vincent Kompany, as well as the fans, will be praying for no injuries and a smooth transition back into club football.
Bayern Munich’s away match against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga had all the makings of a dreaded trap game.
The Bavarians were scorching hot, entering a break, and playing against a desperate team coming off of a midweek embarrassment in the Champions League. Everything was lined up for a letdown…until it wasn’t.
Bayern Munich kept up its intensity and did not let anything distract it from the main goal — securing a win. The Bavarians did just that in a 3-0 victory. Let’s get into the nitty gritty of the match. Check out what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show:
