We all know the Las Vegas Raiders had some problems on defense in a miserable overall season in 2025.
But the defense did some good things as well in extremely important areas. According to a recent X post by NFL Researcher, the Raiders had the third best percentage rate when it came to drives without allowing a first down or a touchdown last season. The Raiders’ percentage rate was at 38.4 percent.

There are some really great defenses on this list.
Under new defensive coordinator Rob Leonard (who was the team’s defensive line coach last season), the Raiders have something to build on. They just need more consistency.
Las Vegas usually started games strong on defense last season, but wilted.
With some key additions and perhaps help from a better offense, Leonard can really build upon these strong traits.
