AAA’s handling of Los Perros del Mal is one of the few disappointments in the WWE era. Bringing back the classic faction brought a sense of excitement. So much so that fans overlooked the losing ways of Angel and Berto to give them a fresh start. It didn’t take long for AAA to squander that aura at the altar of Penta in a meaningless match. The next step was to rebound to get their heat back by winning the trios titles. That looks good on paper, but they still looked weak in victory at Triplemania
34 Night 1 (Sep. 11, 2026) in Las Vegas.
Daga, Angel, and Berto challenged the Psycho Circus crew of Psycho Clown, Murder Clown, and Dave The Clown. Psycho was a replacement for the injured Panic Clown. With Psycho in the match, you didn’t need Steiner Math to see odds increasing for interference from Carnicero. That’s what happened. Psycho brawled with the monster to the back.
The match became 3-on-2, which would be 4-on-2 if you want to include Karmen Petrovic at ringside. Even with the odds in their favor, Los Perros barely won. If you are a fan of Murder Clown, then you would have loved this match. Murder was a powerhouse beast. For fans of Los Perros, the victory was not so impressive. The expectation was dominance once the scales tipped to their advantage.
Los Perros finally took control after Karmen distracted Dave. Berto nailed Dave over the barricade. In the ring, Angel scurried under Murder to powerbomb the clown off the turnbuckles. Daga landed a flying stomp, and Angel picked up the pin to win the AAA World Trios Championship.
It’s not all doom and gloom. The match was entertaining overall. This title win allows Los Perros a chance to grow. They went from potential main event faction to gatekeeper mid-carders. Racking up wins should help shed boost their stock back. I think there is still room for Daga to be taken seriously as a future contender for the Mega Championship when the time comes. And more Karmen on screen will be a draw.
