Josh Allen. Christian Benford. DJ Moore. Even Deone Walker needed some additional taping. Sunday gave us plenty of reasons to worry about the next play, the next game, and the next month.
But the Buffalo Bills walked — although some definitely limped — off the field with what might be only one long-term casualty. Since then, we’ve been anxiously waiting for the first injury report of Week 4. Head coach Joe Brady hasn’t offered many hints beyond saying he doesn’t worry about Josh Allen.
Now we have
it. And now we can all start making game plans that no one at One Bills Drive will listen to anyway.
Here’s your first look at the injury report as the Bills prepare for their first divisional game of the season, hosting the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon. The best news? Josh Allen isn’t on it at all.
Did not practice at all:
- LB Joe Andreesen – knee
- CB Christian Benford – toe
- WR Keon Coleman – ankle
- DT T.J. Sanders – Illness
Limited Practice:
- S Damar Hamlin – ribs
- WR DJ Moore – shoulder
- DL Deone Walker – quad
Full Practice:
- LB Terrel Bernard – thumb
- OLB Brandley Chubb – thumb
- G Ar’maj Reed Adams – elbow
- LB Dorian Williams – hip
What we’re watching:
Christian Benford won’t play this week. The question is, when will he? Is it a minor toe injury or one that’s going to sideline him long enough to end up on IR? Rookie Davisson Igbinosun did well on Sunday, but having a freshman and a sophomore holding down your corners long term is not going to be ideal for Buffalo.

As for the Patriots, there is now evidence for Drake Maye’s claim that his poor play could be due to some shoulder discomfort. He’s on the injury report indicating he received medical treatment today, even if he didn’t miss any practice time.
Here’s a look at what the Patriots are managing this week.
Did not practice at all:
- DT Christian Barmore – Shoulder
- CB Christian Gonzalez – Shoulder
- T Morgan Moses – Toe
Limited Practice:
- LB Christian Elliss – Chest
- FB Reggie Gilliam – Knee
- LB Dre’Mont Jones – Shoulder
- TE Eli Raridon – Thigh
- S Brenden Schooler – Back on NFI List
- S Craig Woodson – Shoulder
Full Practice:
- QB Drake Maye – Shoulder
What we’re watching:
If Barmore can’t go on Sunday, it could be a familiar name trying to get in Allen’s face. DaQuan Jones. Also, it’s worth keeping an eye on Gonzalez. A history of shoulder injuries could mean that the Patriots will have a rookie trying to keep up with Buffalo’s improved wide receiver corps.
