Evans was matched against nickel back Upton Stout near the goal line. Purdy threw high for Evans, who made a leaping 6-yard touchdown grab against the feisty coverage of Stout.
“I’m 6-5,” Evans said. “I have that ability, and I’ve done it throughout my career. But it’s something I talk to the quarterbacks about: ‘When I’m covered, I’m still pretty open if you throw the ball up in the air.’ Brock threw a great ball.”
