TCU baseball made one of its first notable transfer portal additions of the offseason, getting a commitment from McNeese right-handed pitcher Jaden Bahl, a junior from Pflugerville, Texas. Bahl made 25 appearances in relief during the 2026 season, posting a 2-1 record and a 2.43 ERA with 47 strikeouts and 28 walks over 40.2 innings pitched. Bahl allowed just three home runs and held opposing batters to a .199 average.
Bahl’s arsenal
includes a fastball between 92-95 MPH that has topped out at 96. The 6-foot righty also wields a changeup between 79-83 MPH and a cutter ranging from 86-90 MPH. Bahl will arrive as a senior with one year of eligibility remaining. Prior to McNeese, Bahl played JUCO baseball for Bossier Parish Community College in Louisiana, where he made 31 appearances and 24 starts. He threw 107 innings, notching a 7-6 record with 90 strikeouts and 74 walks. He had a 10.2 K/9 ratio as a sophomore before transferring to McNeese.
