Match Preview
Everton will get another game in the friendly and new confines of Hill Dickinson Stadium to get a win and stop the almost inevitable slide down the table. Unfortunately, it’ll come against the last unbeaten
team in the Premier League, Crystal Palace.
A disappointing draw against West Ham last weekend was met with a smattering of boos at full time, given they were playing at home against one of the worse teams in the division. The same old worries about striking inefficiency and the woeful lack of effective fullbacks came home to roost in a big way as both Beto and Thierno Barry continued to draw blanks while Jake O’Brien chased shadows all evening and Vitaliy Mykolenko’s crossing map resembled a shotgun blast from cartoon villain Elmer Fudd.
Moyes had success last season against Oliver Glasner’s Palace side at Selhurst Park by handing them possession and out-countering them. This season though, especially at home he’s chosen to keep the ball instead and try to break down hunkered-down defences.
The injury situation remains about the same for the Blues with Jarrad Branthwaite and Merlin Rohl still out, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall out suspended for an accumulation of three five yellow cards.

Last Meeting
Everton actually did the double over the Eagles last season with two identical 2-1 wins. A Dwight McNeil brace while Sean Dyche was still in charge secured the points at Goodison Park, and then Beto and Carlos Alcaraz did the business at Selhurst Park in February this year.
